Initially the water paintings focused on
creating highly energetic and emotive images
with rich surfaces. In this series, I rarely use a brush to apply the paint.

I manipulate the materials

With the current economic upheaval, my water paintings have recently begun to
hold references to the stock market as I see it as parallel universal
continuum to our oceans.
The Dow and Elliot wave theories
liken market movements to an ocean, with a general tide made up of patterned
waves and ripples.
Many of my water paintings were completed in the summer of 2007 and
reflect the uncertain time prior to the recent market crash.

chart patterns such as double tops, double bottoms, and head and shoulders.
I am currently exploring water paintings based on the Dow
